About Us

Founded in 2012, SWLT is one of the premier youth theater companies in Gloucester Count. More than exceptional theater, our primary purpose in SWLT is to encourage young people to express their creativity, improve on public speaking, build self-confidence and most importantly…have fun!
We don’t do "kids’ theater". We do high-quality theater. It just happens to be with young people.

My name is Dana Cheadle (Petrini). I have been a special education teacher in the Swedesboro-Woolwich District for over 15 years! As a child, theater was always a big part of my life. It helped me build my confidence, increase my music ability, and it was something I enjoyed very much!
In 2012, with the help of community members, I founded a non-profit theater program for children and teens in Swedesboro-Woolwich and the surrounding areas, Swedesboro-Woolwich Little Theater (SWLT). While our primary season is during the summer months, you will also see us performing at Swedesboro Day, walking in the Christmas Parade, and participating in community clean-up events. This past year, our staff members even performed a dinner theater production of Clue: The Musical at Botto’s Italian Line!

Swedesboro-Woolwich Little Theater (SWLT) is new Independent non-profit organization. We are not part of the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District. SWLT is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. One purpose is to provide the children in local and neighboring communities the opportunity to join an organization that will educate them about theater through summer camps, workshops, and public performance.
