Registration for Camp Rock!!!

                     WHAT IS CAMP ROCK!?!?

With only 5 rockers per session, campers receive personalized, small-group instruction while learning the foundations of starting a band—from songwriting and music-themed crafts to hands-on exploration of rock band instruments.

This camp is designed for ages 6+ with  beginner (no experience) to intermediate-level experience. It focuses on building skills, confidence, and a love of music.
  • Each time slot is limited to 5 students for small group instruction! 
  • Lessons are aligned with the NJ Music State Standards
  • Campers are encouraged to sign up with friends! 
                      WHEN IS CAMP ROCK?!?!
  • CAMP ROCK runs in week-long sessions Monday through Thursday 
  • Each session is 2 hours long.

Session 1: 
  • June 29-July 2
    • 9:00a-11:00p

  • July 6-July 9

Session 3:

CAMP ROCK  is $225 per camper per session.

(A 10% family discount is given to multiple family members.)

WHO WILL TEACH OUR ROCKERS?!?!
SWLT is proud to introduce our newest team member, Mr. Jimmy!

Jim is a professional musician whose primary instruments are guitar and bass, but he can also play and teach a variety of other instruments. He has been teaching students of all ages and skill levels at Swedesboro Music Studio for over 30 years.

When he’s not playing music, Jim works as a paraprofessional to special needs students at Gateway Regional High School. His is creative, patient, and passionate about helping learners of all ages and abilities build confidence, develop skills, and discover the joy of making music.

          CAN THEATER CAMPERS DO BOTH?!?! 
    YES!!!!- Sessions 1, 2, or 3; 11:15a-1:15p time slot will be available for                      theater campers to sign up!   We'll save you a spot! 
  • Theater Camp and Camp Rock are in the same location-Walter Hill School!!! ​​
  • Theater camp will run from 8:30a-12:00p. During their session week Camp Rock kids participating in both will be dismissed from theater camp  at 11:15a to go to Camp Rock. ​
  • Only Camp Rock participants will be permitted to stay in the building after 12p. Siblings participating in Theater Camp but not participating in Camp Rock must be picked up at 12p. 
  • Spots will only be reserved for campers to do both until March 1. After that,  if the afternoon slots are full, campers cannot participate in both.

    • Electronic Payment must be received immediately after time slot reservation in order to secure your spot.

                          WHAT’S INCLUDED?
  • Camp Rock T-Shirt
  • Instruments will be provided.
    • However, if campers have their own guitar, bass, drumsticks, or portable keyboard they are encouraged to bring it to camp. 

NOT Included:
  • Campers should bring
    •  their own electronic device to access google classroom
      • (laptop, Chromebook, tablet)
      •  cellphones not recommended 
    • headphones
    • a small snack and water bottle

Swedesboro-Woolwich Little Theater (SWLT) is new Independent non-profit organization. We are not part of the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District. SWLT is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. One purpose is to provide the children in local and neighboring communities the opportunity to join an organization that will educate them about theater through summer camps, workshops, and public performance.
